Metallurgist - Requirements and competencies that must be developed:
- B.S in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering
- Sidney location as employment home base
- 80% of time dedicated to ACO Division
- Solidification modeling and associated basic CAD competency
- Micrographic sampling, defect inspection, and analysis
- Perform machining and pull test bars
- Development of metallurgical analysis reports as needs arise
- Achieve ASNT Level II, minimum, in Radiographic Inspection and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
- Monitor furnace chemistries' compliance and recommend additives/enhancements
- Develop "expert" competency on spectrographic units
- Assist in other Quality and Manufacturing projects and responsibilities as may be directed
